Read Matthew 9:35-38
1-Why are non- paid workers just as important as the paid workers for God’s Church to get its work done?
2-What do you think it means that Jesus is both the True Shepherd and Good Shepherd of His people?
3-Why was preaching the gospel of the kingdom Jesus’ first order of business?
4-How did miracles confirm His message?
5-Dane Ortlund argues that while the justice of God is “exacting” (proven by the cross of Christ), His compassion is His “deepest reflex!” Do you agree with this? What do you think he means by this?
6-Does God’s compassion still move Him to heal sinners and suffers today?
7-In regard’s to Christ’s vision and seeing people “as sheep without a shepherd” what does it mean that people are “helpless” and “harassed”?
8-Pastor Tom used the illustration that our souls are like a 1,000 acre ranches with irrigation ditches running throughout to every square inch. When we receive the Lord Jesus as our Savior and Shepherd we receive the Holy Spirit as a limitless well of life giving water to flow throughout our souls. Q-Why is learning to abide by faith and a Spirit empowered obedience essential for allowing the Spirit to flow freely in our souls?
