Pastor Emeritus
Nick Hinebaugh

Reverend Nick Hinebaugh was born in Rockford, Illinois into a Christian home. On November 30, 1941, just one week before the bombing of Pearl Harbor and the start of World War II, he married Fern (Sis) Starr. Nick joined the Marines and was sent to San Diego, California where he became aware of a spiritual emptiness although he had been a church-goer all his life. He began to attend The Salvation Army, where a dedicated officer led him to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

After serving in the South Pacific he was honorably discharged and entered The Salvation Army School for Officer's Training in Chicago, Ill. Nick and Sis served 14 years as Salvation Army officers until Sis' health problems caused them to leave The Salvation Army. Nick became a pastor in The United Methodist Church, and Nick and Sis served churches in Minnesota, Illinois and Wisconsin until their retirement and move to Buena Vista in 1984.

They bring humor, understanding, warmth, caring and the benefit and experience of more than a half century of service to God to all who know them.

Zach Bearss (zach@clearviewcommunity.org)

Zach Bearss was born in Monte Vista, CO and attended Nazarene Bible College in Nampa, Idaho. He has been married to Catherine since 1999 and they have four children: Anna, Isaac, Noah, and Joseph. He desires to see God’s people experience a fruitful walk with Jesus Christ, and to experience freedom in their worship. Catherine and Zach are so excited about the heart and mission of ClearView Community Church. “We consider it a great honor to be a part of God’s work in this church, in the community and the world.”

Youth Pastor
Jason Metzgar (LiNK@clearviewcommunity.org)

Jason Metzgar was born in New Jersey and attended Adams State College in Alamosa, CO. He and his wife, Amber, have 3 children, Kaydynn, Zoe and Torrin. Jason has been involved in youth ministry for almost 10 years and wouldn’t want to be doing anything else. Jason’s prayer is that what he does in his life and ministry will point young people to what is eternal – to an amazing, truly satisfying God that loves you, and was willing to take pain, humiliation, and wrath for you so that there is no guilt in life and no fear in death.
