Connect: Where have you seen pride affect a relationship or a relationship with God?
Where have you seen that self-esteem has taken over in culture?
Where have you seen humility at work?
Engage: Zach talked about the 7 deadly sins which are pride, lust, gluttony, greed, sloth, wrath, and envy. Why do you think pride is at the beginning?
The story of ego – I can do this without God (Edging God out.) Gospel humility is not needing to think myself. Brian Wilkerson says, “Pride pushes God out of the picture”. Where have you seen this?
Where have there been times where you have thought about yourself more than you should?
Where have you experienced emptiness because you used people as a commodity that you thought it will fill something in you?
Where are you on the pendulum of either guilt and shame or realizing you struggle with pride?
Worship is the 1st step of letting go of pride. Where have you seen this in your life or in the life of another?
What do think of the statement true strength comes from humility? Where have you seen this?
