DAY 27: OUR WORLD: THE PERSECUTED CHURCH

“As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good in order to bring about the present result, to preserve many people alive.”—Genesis 50:20

There are an estimated 200 million around the world persecuted for their faith. Choose a nationality or a missionary by name ministering and living in restricted countries and pray that they will be strengthened and empowered by His Spirit in the inner man.  Pray that God’s ways are not our ways, and that the church will flourish despite their circumstances.  Pray for practical needs to be met of food, clothing, and shelter.  Pray that each believer will obtain their own Bible. And pray that if their own family has renounced them because of their profession of faith in Jesus Christ, that they will find brothers and sisters in the family of God.

“God is not looking for men of great faith, He is looking for common men to trust His great faithfulness.”—Hudson Taylor
