Genesis 2:9

And out of the ground the Lord God made to spring up every tree that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life was in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

The rainbow is God’s creation. We naturally delight in it. There is something awe-inspiring in the appearance of a rainbow after a storm. Nearly everyone will tell others about a rainbow. The rainbow colors red, purple, scarlet, and crimson, all used in early tabernacle and temple construction, were types or shadows of atonement. The color blue can be a symbol of deity or royalty, and was also the color God commanded be included in the threads in the fringes of Israelite garments, reminding them of the commandments and a godly way of life. The color white can mean holiness, righteousness, and dedication to serving the one true God.
