Read John 15: 9-17. What new thoughts or insights did you glean from the sermon today about the friendship of Jesus?
Abraham was called a friend of God. Look up these verses and discuss what made this statement true:
Isaiah 41:8, 2 Chronicles 20:7, James 2:23, Hebrews 11:8 and 11:17.
APPLY
A FRIEND TAKES THEIR MASK OFF. Jesus revealed to us who He truly is. Do we do the same with Him?
FRIENDS ARE TRUSTWORTHY. God has made a covenant with us. Are we faithful to Him?
Read these verses on friendship and ask yourself: How good of a friend am I to others? Do I need to take steps towards mending a friendship? Proverbs, 12:26, 17:17, 18:24, 22:24-25, 27:9, 27:17, Ecclesiastes 4:9-10, I Thessalonians 5:11
PRAY
Pray that you will experience and come to know that you are a friend to God and to His Son, Jesus.
