Read James 1:12-18

Q-What is blame shifting, and why is it important in dealing with temptation not to engage in blame shifting?

Q-Why can’t we blame God for temptation? (see 1:!3) Who else do we try to blame?

Q-What is the first example of blame shifting found in the Bible? How did this person’s sin effect all of humanity (except Jesus)?

Q-Tell why the “blessed man” in 1:12 is indeed blessed?

Q-Do we usually encounter various trials with joy? Why or why not?

Q-Describe the carnal Christian from 1 Cor 2, and 3?

Q-Do you agree with Pastor Tom that we fall so easily into the cycle of pleasurable destruction because, “We want the world’s present pleasures

More than the present pleasures of the Holy Spirit”? What does this mean?

Q-God is the giver of “every good and perfect gift” the best of which is salvation and its fruitfulness?

Q-Read Galatians 2:20. In this verse Paul describes His intimate union with Jesus and three salvation benefits he carries with him all the time.

1-His pardon from the cross 2- His surrender and, therefore, fulness of the Spirit 3-His walk by faith in the presence, promises  and love of Jesus. Q-Why do we as struggling Christians need to take all three of these truths into our everyday battles against temptation?
