CONNECT
Tell your story of how you became connected to ClearView and began to call it your church home.

ENGAGE
Attached is ClearView 101, which can also be found on ClearView’s webpage under “What We Believe.” As a group, read through these basic tenets.  Do you agree with each of these statements?  Do you disagree with any of these statements?

Read Ephesians 2:11-22 and Ephesians 4:1-6. Discuss the aspects of unity in the body that scripture calls us to embrace.

Read Galatians 3:26-28.  Use this as a basis to discuss what could easily divide us today by filling in the blanks: “There is neither ___________ nor __________, for we all one in Christ Jesus.”

APPLY
Besides the beliefs listed in ClearView 101, we have been asked to “check our doctrine (s) at the door” and hold other doctrines “loosely.” This does not mean that we do not continue to study, discuss, and explore these doctrines and interpretations together, but it does mean that we are not going to focus on them when we are all together as one body.  What have you had to personally set aside for the sake of the unity of the body of ClearView?

PRAY
Pray that we would continue to love another and encourage one another, united in one Spirit, as we fellowship together and grow in Christ.

CONNECT
Have you ever been in a church service when something convicting or miraculous happened in your life or in someone else’s life?  If so, share with the group your experience.

ENGAGE
Read I Peter 2: 4-12. Break apart the phrases used to describe both Christ and us as believers in the body of Christ.  What does this mean to you of how we should live on a daily basis?
Read Ephesians 2:13-22. How does this passage further describe what it means for Christ to be our chief cornerstone?  What divisions in the church can He bring together to unite into one body?

APPLY
Read I Peter 2:9. Ask these questions of yourself: How do I as a believer not fit into today’s culture? Am I personally different or do I blend in? Where am I convicted to become active in the culture because He has convicted my heart to do so and to glorify God?  Who or what is my cornerstone: Christ or something/someone else? (Everyone has one. To examine your heart, ask this question: When my life is crumbling, who or what do I reach out for and rely on?) Why is the church important for us to be involved in to walk out our faith with other believers?

PRAY
Pray that the Lord would give you opportunity to make a difference in someone else’s life this week and to engage in our culture.
