Women’s Bible Study – January in the Psalms

ClearView women are invited to spend the month of January in worship and prayer as we read through the entire book of Psalms. A bookmark with a reading plan is available in the church foyer.  A prayer journal is recommended and we encourage you to write daily prayers that are rooted in scripture. The Word of God is alive and powerful and when we pray the promises of God we are certainly praying according to His will. There are no Tuesday morning or Thursday evening gatherings planned for January.  Details for a January Night of Worship as well as upcoming in-person studies will be announced in 2022. Merry Christmas!

Women’s Night of Worship

Blessed be the Lord God of Israel,

from everlasting to everlasting.

Amen and amen.

Psalm 41:13

The word amen appears in both the Old and New Testament and is often translated “let it be so.” More than just a word that we mindlessly place at the end of our prayers, “amen” is a declaration that our hearts are aligned with the will of God.

Our ClearView Women’s Bible Study group is spending the month of January in worship and prayer as we read through the entire book of Psalms, using Scripture to guide our hearts into the posture of “Amen.”  A bookmark with a reading plan is available in the church foyer.

In lieu of our traditional weekly meetings, we invite you to join us for an evening of corporate prayer and worship.  This event is open to the community and will take place at The Loft Orpheum Theater at 413 E Main Street on Friday, January 21, at 7pm.  A list of recommended childcare providers is available upon request.

Invite a friend and register online today for this special evening of testimony, worship, and women’s fellowship!

Women’s Bible Study – God of Freedom

Join us for our next in-person Bible study, God of Freedom, a 10-session study of Exodus 19-40 by Jen Wilkin.  In this study we will journey through the story of how God shepherds His newly-liberated children into an understanding of what their freedom means: lives consecrated for service to God and to one another.  We’ll revisit familiar scenes of the giving of the Ten Commandments, the idolatrous worship of a golden calf, and of the intricate details of the tabernacle.  And with fresh perspective, ask what these stories teach God’s children today about how to live as those set free.  If you missed the first half of this study (God of Deliverance), don’t let that deter you from joining us.  These studies are formatted to be great stand-alone studies.  Our first sessions will be held Tuesday, February 1st at 9am and Thursday, February 3rd at 6:30pm.  Childcare is available Tuesday mornings upon request.  Invite a friend and register online or in the church foyer.  Purchase your book from your preferred online retailer (available at Lifeway, Christian book, and many other retailers).  Please contact Trinda Windle at trinda.windle@gmail.com or (303) 913-4748 with questions.

EVENTS AROUND THE COMMUNITY:

SANCTITY OF LIFE SUNDAY, JANUARY 23RD

God calls each one of us to partner with Him, to fulfill His vision to reach a world of need.  We cannot continue to reach these precious lives without the support of friends like you.

ClearView will have a display of bulbs with items needed by the Buena Vista Pregnancy Center on them in the Foyer on Sunday.  In the bulb there is a flower, in the apple seed, there is an apple tree and in the womb, there is a precious life that God sees and loves!  “My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth.  Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.”  Psalm 139:15-16

Make sure to pick up a bag of daffodil bulbs in the Foyer by the Mission Wall.  These bulbs represent the miracle of life.  As they grow, may they bring to mind the sanctity of life.
