Prison Ministry Need – The offender population at Buena Vista Correctional Complex is involved in an effort to do something positive for the community by donating knit/crochet items to hospital patients.  The Salt & Light team would like to invite donations of yarn for this effort. Those with a hobby for needlecraft often have leftover odds and ends of yarn, or bought yarn that didn’t quite fit the project and don’t want to waste by throwing it away. The prison project may be just the place to give new life to that yarn, and contribute to offender success by providing opportunities to make positive behavioral changes in a full circle that gives something back to the community.  We will have a receptacle in the foyer for your donations.  Thanks!
