CLEARVIEW ANNUAL FAMILY REUNION

Join us for our annual Family Reunion on Sunday, September 19th from 1-3 pm at Noah’s Ark.  We will be celebrating our 25th Anniversary!  We will have a worship choir, baptisms and will be taking new directory photos to update our directory.  Food will be provided, so please RSVP to let us know you are coming.  You can do so by calling the church office at 719.395.3120, online or at the Info Center on Sunday.  Please bring a lawn or camp chair.

 

 

 

 

NEWCOMER’S SMALL GROUP

New to ClearView?  Ready to get Involved?  Our Newcomer’s Small Group starts Wednesday, October 6th from 6:30-8:00 pm at the Blount’s home.  For more information or to sign up contact Sharon Woolmington at sharon@clearviewcommunity.org or 719-395-9336.  You can also sign up at the Info Table in the Foyer.

 

 

 

 

WOMEN’S FALL RETREAT 2021

Ladies, please join us for the ClearView Women’s Ministry Fall Retreat on Saturday, October 2, from 10AM to 4PM at the beautiful Silver Cliff Ranch in Nathrop. This is a day of fun fellowship with activities, free time, lunch, & a wonderful speaker.

 

Cost is $20 and includes coffee/muffins & boxed lunch (notify us of dietary needs, please), plus access to the hot springs pool, hiking trails, game rooms, gym & more!

 

Call the church at 719-395-3120 with questions. Register at the church, at the door, or online. Please RSVP by 9/28 for a meal; otherwise, please bring your own lunch. You may also wish to bring: Bible, journal, pen, swimsuit, towel, snacks, hiking shoes, mask for indoor spaces, sunscreen, sunglasses.

 

 

 

 

 

2021 CHURCH DIRECTORY

It’s that time again!  We have so many new faces at our church and want to update our directory.  Here is what you need to do to make sure you are listed in the directory:

 

  1. Complete a directory update form online or pick up a form at the Info Center in the Foyer or at the church office
  2. Drop the completed form off at the church office, the info center or when you have your photo taken
  3. Have your photo taken at our annual Family Reunion on Sunday, September 19th at Noah’s Ark or email a current photo to the church office to andrea@cleaviewcommunity.org

 

Deadline for participation, updates and photos is September 27thPLEASE NOTE THAT ONLY THOSE WHO HAVE TURNED IN AN UPDATED FORM WILL BE INCLUDED IN THE PRINTED DIRECTORY.

 

 

 

 

WOMAN TO WOMAN DINNER

You are invited to a special Woman to Woman Dinner! 

 

Monday, October 18 @ ClearView from 6-8:00 pm

 

This dinner has been generously and graciously provided by the Gail Kahler trust fund and Gail’s stepdaughters.  There is no charge, it is a free event.  Scratch Kitchen will be catering and have a delicious menu planned for us! Therefore, we need a firm RSVP by October 4th.   Sign up soon as space is limited! Childcare is provided upon request.

BAPTISMS
Are you interested in getting baptized?  We will be doing baptisms in the river at Noah’s Ark on Sunday, September 19thduring our Annual Family Reunion.  If you are interested, please put your name on the list at the sign-up sheet in the Foyer at the Info Table or contact the church office at 719.395.3120.

EVENTS AROUND THE COMMUNITY:

 

 

 

Salt & light is looking for volunteers that can help 51/10 load hay Sat 9/18 at 8:00 onto trailers from Lee Rook’s hay yard and bring to 51/10 property and unload into their new hay barn (we helped build this Spring). You will need good gloves and a strong back as bales of hay weigh between 45-60 lbs. We need to move 1000 bales, so looking for around 25 people. Those helping load trailers at Rook’s will meet at church at 7:45. We also need a crew that will work at 51/10 unloading trailers that will meet at church at 9:00 and start at 9:30 at 51/10. We hope be done around lunch time. We will supply water at both locations and a light lunch at 51/10.

Arkansas Valley Christian Mission Help Available and Help Needed…

The Arkansas Valley Christian Mission wants you to know you we are

here to assist and support you if you have a need.

We are open Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 11am-2pm every

week, or by appointment if that is desired. We will begin serving hot

lunches in the near future.

We offer groceries and a client pantry, employment resources,

health care references, prescription co pay assistance and limited

financial assistance for emergencies. Our services are free,

confidential, and provided in a spirit of love.

The Mission is also in need of volunteers to help work at the mission

and serve our community. Even a few hours a month would be

welcome. If you are willing to donate your time, please give us a call

or send us a message.

BV HOPE

We have received an anonymous matching grant for BV HOPE in the amount of $8,000.  We are actively promoting this via word of mouth, to various groups through emails, and to both Buena Vista and Salida chambers to come up with the matching funds.
It is wonderful that so many kind people want to help us with our fundraising for Haven of Hope.

Ark Valley Helping Hands needs volunteer assistance for our Fall Service Day on Saturday, Oct. 9, from 8 a.m. to noon.

During this time frame, we will work with our regular volunteers and volunteers from the general public to tackle outdoor chores for approximately 20 households who are members of AVHH.Volunteer opportunities include touch-up painting, leaf raking, small bush/tree trimming and window cleaning. Following the completion of services, we will host a cookout from noon to 2 p.m at Chisholm Park in Salida. All event participants are invited to attend.
