EVENTS AROUND CLEARVIEW:

Blitz Thank You

The Arkansas Valley Mission and Salt & Light would like to thank everyone who purchased food / gift cards and all those who volunteered to help. We had many volunteers who spent many hours, loading food into trucks, moving food from trucks to the Mission, putting food away, etc, all serving with much laughter and unbelievable attitudes. It was a huge success and we supplied the Mission with $28,300 worth of food / gift cards ($2K more than last year). We also had cash donations from the public of $75. What a blessing it was to see so many of you on Sunday spending so much money and doing so with great big smiles. You all were blessing to the Mission, City Market as well as our BV Fire Dept. Thanks for letting God use you all, for His glory.

Greenhouse parents, we hope ALL Greenhouse kids can come to the next rehearsal for our Greenhouse program. This dress rehearsal will be at 12:30 on Sunday, December 8. We will practice until 1:30. If you could bring your kids, that would be wonderful! You can go on a lunch date! The next Sunday, December 15, is our program. We would appreciate it if kids could be at church by 8:00 to get into costume and practice with the worship team. Thank you so much!

Parents of 4th and 5th graders:
As part of our Greenhouse plan this December, we are talking about serving our church body. Each Sunday we are looking for ways to serve and love the people of ClearView. One way we would like to do that is by inviting any interested older kids to come early and be a greeter at the door. They can say hi to the people coming in and hand out bulletins. Several of the 4th and 5th grade students expressed interest in this, and we’d love to have them.
For first service they would need to arrive by about 8:40, and for second service by about 10:25-10:30.
Would you please text or email me to let me know if your kid is interested? I would be so excited if they wanted to help! Thanks!  -Julie Little

Calling All Bakers! Our Salt & Light team is inviting you to participate in our 2nd annual BV Christmas Thank You. We are looking for people to bake Christmas goodies to be distributed to town agencies as a “Thank You” from Clearview for their service to our town. Last year your generosity resulted in 3625 baked goods being distributed to 17 agencies in BV.

You can bake as a small group activity, or invite a few friends or neighbors to bake with you as an outreach, a way for them to participate too.

Would you please take a picture of your baking process and finished product and include yourself/your group in the photo and email them to Tanner Brasser, our picture historian, at: tanner.brasser@gmail.com

Please tally and mark the # of items you bake in each container you bring so we can keep count. Please bring your goodies in containers you don’t need returned. This makes distributing the right amount of Christmas goodies to each agency much easier. Thank you!

The Christmas baked goods will be collected in the church kitchen beginning on Monday, December 2nd through Thursday the 12th, except for Wednesday, December, 11th.  We will be delivering the baked goods as we have enough to send out to each agency with our final deliveries being done on Friday Dec. 13th.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact; Cindy Blount @ 401 323-2388
