EVENTS AROUND CLEARVIEW:

Power of Prayer Women’s Summer Bible Study Begins June 5!

Is your prayer life powerful?

Are you able to ask for God’s will to be done with peace and confidence?

Is prayer something you make time for daily?

Is your life characterized by peace and joy?

Do you expect God to answer your prayers?

If you answered “no” to any of these questions, join us for our summer series led by Debbie Dittrich!

This study is free and does not require homework. Sessions will cover:

  • The purpose of prayer

  • The power of prayer

  • The peace of prayer

  • The practice of prayer

Childcare is available!

Study meets on Tuesday mornings from 9:00 – 11:00 and begins June 5.

Click here to register or call the church office at 719.395.3120.

 All women welcome!

VBS Work Date: Thursday, May 17 1:00-4:00 pm @ ClearView. This is the first of several work days we will have. If you would like to come help us make decorations, sort supplies, and do other jobs, we would love to have you!

We still need CREW LEADERS for VBS! You’ll be blessed by getting to hang out with a group of kids all week, taking them through the VBS stations each day. It’s a fun, EASY way to serve and to love on some kids. Contact Julie at 719.221.0353 or julie@clearviewcommunity.org to sign up!

Want another way to help with VBS? Grab some of our supply tags off the board in the foyer and return the item to church. This helps us immensely!

The church office will be closed on Fridays beginning this Friday, May 18, and throughout the summer. Please plan accordingly!

Are you looking for a place to plug-in at ClearView?
Consider joining the Welcome Ministry!  We will be having a training meeting Sunday, May 20 at 12:15 in the Fellowship Hall.  Lunch will be served.
All current or potential Welcome Ministry volunteers should attend this meeting.  We will cover the vision and mission of the Welcome Ministry, the different roles in the ministry, church security, and how to use CCB effectively in this ministry.
This ministry is a great “first step” to getting involved!  We look forward to seeing you there.
Please call or email Amber McManamay to rsvp.  719-221-3752amcmanamay@me.com

As many of you know, Cheri and I have been working with Native Americans in New Mexico and Arizona for many years. Recent health issues with Cheri and me have made these trips too difficult to continue. BUT we have connected with a group in Colorado Springs called One Nation Walking Together. This group works with 30,000 to 40,000 Native Americans on reservations throughout the western United States—far more than we were able to do.

The barrel in the church foyer is for donations that are taken to the One Nation group in Colorado Springs. The clothing that was left after the recent garage sale has been taken to One Nation. There are brochures in the foyer describing the One Nation mission to help the Native Americans on reservations in the western United States. Your support has been great and is much appreciated.

Currently One Nation is having a food drive collecting canned goods for the Native Americans they serve on reservations throughout the western United States. We are attempting to help this effort by collecting canned goods in this area. Any sort of canned food is welcome. The drive continues through May. We will be taking all donations to them throughout May and early June.

Update: The next truck is headed to Pablo, Montana. There are in need of these items:

Baby Items

Strollers

Cribs & Bedding

Car Seats & Carriers

Diapers

Formula & Baby Food

School Supplies

Twin Size Beds

Dressers

Christmas Gifts

Appliances

Furniture

Hygiene Items

Thank you for your support! –Curt Welty
