As many of you know, Cheri and I have been working with Native Americans in New Mexico and Arizona for many years. Recent health issues with Cheri and me have made these trips too difficult to continue. BUT we have connected with a group in Colorado Springs called One Nation Walking Together. This group works with 30,000 to 40,000 Native Americans on reservations throughout the western United States—far more than we were able to do.

The barrel in the church foyer is for donations that are taken to the One Nation group in Colorado Springs. The clothing that was left after the recent garage sale has been taken to One Nation. There are brochures in the foyer describing the One Nation mission to help the Native Americans on reservations in the western United States. Your support has been great and is much appreciated.

Currently One Nation is having a food drive collecting canned goods for the Native Americans they serve on reservations throughout the western United States. We are attempting to help this effort by collecting canned goods in this area. Any sort of canned food is welcome. The drive continues through May. We will be taking all donations to them throughout May and early June. Thank you for your support! –Curt Welty
