Notes

What’s the most frightening experience YOU have ever had?

In light of that experience, what do you expect the disciples were feeling in their situation?

Why do you think it says they were “terrified” when Jesus calmed the storm?

Why is a focus on WHO God is and that He is WITH you so important when storms arise?

What’s your desire for the way you handle the storms in your life moving forward?

PRAYER:

God, these are my storms (name them). I confess, I choose to fear/worry/stress over these instead of believing what You tell me about WHO you are and HOW you love me. I confess that I choose to listen to the feelings and I act in ways that are unworthy of You. But I don’t want to be that fearful, faithless person. Forgive me. Cleanse me. Renew my mind to see You as You are. To believe Your love for me. Today and for all time. I want to be DONE with fear by seeing WHO YOU ARE. I come to Your table today, depending fully on Your precious forgiveness, relying entirely on Your life in me to bring about real changes in my life, so You will get the glory you intend and the glory You deserve from my time on earth as Your child.
