Connect:  Did you grow up understanding the word Pentecost or is that a new concept to you? What struck you in the understanding of Pentecost?

Engage:  Reread Ezekiel 37:1-14. What do you notice?

Review the Old Testament, Exodus 3:1-6, 12:21-28– Burning bush, Moses let my people go with Egypt. The Lamb no bone broken – blood on the doorpost, 50 Days – Mt Sinai – Worship no other Gods.

1 day of Pentecost – 3000 people died. What is God saying to you through these verses?

Where have you been like Moses? Where have you been like the Israelites?

Zach talked about 4 statements regarding Pentecost.

1. God gives us His life. Ezekiel 37:6

     a. Genesis–Adam–Dirtman–breathe–

     b. Where do you experience the breath of God in your life?

2. God is faithful even when we are not.  Ezekiel 37:7

     a. Where have you seen God’s faithfulness when you have not been faithful?

      b. What hope does that give you in your life? How does that change you?

3. God breaks down the status quo. Ezekiel 37:8
     a. Where do you see that in our world today, God breaking down the status quo in the world, in our neighborhood? Do you need to break some status quo areas in your life? What does that look like for you?

4. God makes each believer a burning bush. Ezekiel 37:14

     a. What does that look like for you? Where do you need to take a step of faith knowing that you have the Spirit living in you?
