Q-Why do you think so few people come up for prayer after our worship service?

Read Matthew 28:18-20
Q-Why is Matthew 28:18-20 called “The Great Commision? Why is this commission for the whole church and not just church leaders?

Q-What are the three phases of disciple-making and why does the church need to be intentional about each of the phases?

Q-A baby stuck in infancy would be shocking. Why do you think the church at large is not shocked that so many spiritual infants are stuck in spiritual infancy? Do you think your spiritual development pretty accurately reflects your “age” in the Lord?

Read 2 Corinthians 3:18
Q-The Holy Spirit is the one who brings about transformation in our hearts. What does transformation mean and why is it so hard?

Q-How did Pastor Tom define biblical meditation? and contemplative prayer? Why is listening to God such a difficult task?

Q-How does God often use “the disciplines” of the Christian life to make Himself deeply known?

Q-Reflect on Andrew Murray’s statement, “The Word of God was inspired when first given: The Holy Spirit still breathes in it”  Do you agree with this? Why or why not?

Q-Can you tell of a time when God spoke to you through His Word? How about a time when He spoke to you apart from His written Word, but not in contradiction to it? How did you know it was God?

Read Philippians 2:12-13
Q-How do we know that Paul is not referring to initial salvation, but growth salvation?

Q-How did Pastor Tom define godly fear in reference to judgement?

Q-Why is having a hungry heart, journaling, and having godly people in our lives
so important for our spiritual growth?
