When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.
Hand-built using native clay dug and processed by the artist; saggar fired. Clay is my prayer language and the studio is my prayer closet. I combine my pursuit of archeology, geology, art, and my love of the Lord to produce work which I pray will touch the hearts of viewers.
The Spirit on a Sandstone Mesa is a dream-scape. When lost for inspiration, I often mentally revisit the red rock canyon and mesa country of Utah and western Colorado where I first became aware that I was truly a westerner. The cleanliness and vast, smooth sweep of the rock formations illustrate the grace of Creation, the eons of God’s eternal clock. With swirling sand, water, temperature, and time as His tools, He created the landscape which so
inspires me.
