Q-What did you think about Pastor Tom’s comment that the 2 greatest virtues needed in the church are love and humility both to please Jesus and to point people to Jesus?

Q-Describe what Pastor Tom meant by Jesus “descending into Servanthood greatness.”

Q-Have you ever felt someone trying to climb over top of you to ascend the worldly ladder of greatness at your expense? How did you respond?

Q-In following Jesus does He expect you to follow Him into lowly, hard and dirty situations? Tell of a situation where you sensed He was calling you to do so? Did you fight Him in doing so?

Q-Describe the purpose of Jesus dying on the cross, why did he sweat drop of blood in the garden of gethsemane?

Q-Why does Peter tell us that submission under God’s mighty hand is part of humility? Why do you think casting our anxieties upon Him is so important in times of hardship? In hard times what does trusting Him practically look like?

Q-Do you agree with Pastor Tom that humility is essential in receiving salvation? Why or why not?

Q-Pastor Jason made an interesting comment during announcements. He said that in his experience in talking to people God became more real to them when they served on a mission’s trip! Why do you think this might be so?
