Connect:  Where have you felt barren without hope? Where have you see God show up in the barrenness?

Engage:  God repeatedly compares His relationship with Israel to a marriage vs 5 Given this context what do you think He’s communicating to Israel 54:1-3

Zach talked about 3 ideas in Isaiah 54:1-5

1. Sing Oh Barren one – think a minute about this – Where do you need to sing during pain? What is God saying to you with this simple verse?

a. How can you trust the Lord amid your struggles? Where are you seeing seeds of restoration in your life?

b. What has to happen in your life that you can not fix?
c. Galatians 4:27 Where do you see being a child of the promise?

2. Enlarge the place of your tent.

  1. Also, Ephesians 3:20 (one of my favorites page1image4288352928) Where do you trust the Lord in that verse? What does it say to you?

  2. Where is God not done with your situation?

  3. Zach shared the story of Bethel Gospel church – Has the Lord ever asked you to give up something to impact the world with Christ? What was that like for you?

3. Fear Not – for you will not be ashamed.(RSV)
a. Galatians1:6-7 Where have you traded the love of Jesus for shame?
b. Where do you have default settings where you go to other things to worship instead of Jesus?
c. Are you courageous enough to be aware of what you go too?
d. Do you have some family systems that have root foundations of shame/fear that have been passed down?
