Connect: Where do you find Jonah in your own life? How do you run from God?? Where did you notice something new in the book of Jonah?

Engage: Here is Zach’s 1st message

1. Be in Awe of God
2. Do not leave your witness to chance.
3. The world is waiting to know the gospel.
4. Live a sacrificial life.

Does anything strike you with any of these 4 statements?
Jonah 2:9 says, “Salvation comes from the Lord (Jesus) Often we think we need to clean ourselves up.
We are a wandering people. Where do you wander from the Lord?
What part of your story brings the most glory to God? Even the brokenness.
It is about being honest about our brokenness. Do you have people that you can be honest with about your brokenness?

However, it is the steadfastness of the Lord that brings hope to all – Isaiah 54:10 God loves you enough to come after us – God loves wandering broken people. How does that statement sit with you? Do you honestly believe that?

What does the world need to hear? What do your neighbors need to hear?

A.J. Swoboda quote: “Good preaching involves a preacher drowning in the furious grace of God and inviting a bunch of people to watch.

Craig Barnes: “We spend most of our time trying to make things happen for ourselves and the people we love. But life is not reduced to what you give, know, or achieve. Rather it is defined by the God who loves you. In other words, you are not the central character – this is not meant to demean you it is to set you free.

What do you think about these 2 quotes?
