Breaking the ice

Q-Describe a time when you were out in nature and frightened by a wild animal. What kind of animal frightened you and how did you respond?

Q-Pastor Tom described several riches of salvation Jesus earned for us on the cross from 2 Cor 5:17-21. Read the passage and define
1-Becoming a new creature in Christ-

2-Being reconciled to God-

3-The Great exchange in Verse 21. What do we give God and what does God give us?

Q-What do you think Pastor Tom meant by learning to enjoy these spiritual riches?

Q-Pastor Tom mentioned being saved when he was 6 when He received the Lord Jesus as His Savior, but not fully surrendering to Jesus until he was 21. Q-What do you think about that statement’s theological accuracy? Can you identify a time when you surrendered yourself totally to the Lord, either at salvation or a time after you were saved? How did your life change?

Read Galatians 6:2, 5:14

Q-What is a burden and how does helping carry each other’s burdens fulfill the law of Christ? ”

Q-How often do you choose to identify and help another carry their burdens?

Read John 14:12-14, 1 John 5:14-15

Q-Is God still healing today?

Q-What kind of condition does “according to God’s will” put on prayer?

Read Gal 5:6

Q-What are core muscles in the human body and why are they important? Did you agree or disagree with Pastor Tom, that while faith praying for miracles are important they are not the core muscles of God’s people, but that “faith working through love” are the core muscles of God’s people.

Q-How is God glorified by an instant miracle He performs?

Q-How is God glorified through His people by practical love and caregiving when someone is suffering?
