What do you think of Count Nikolaus and his love letters to God and then the picture where he was so moved to ask, “Whatever you want me to do for you?”
Have you ever prayed that prayer in your own life and what was that like for you?

Moravian Germans asking, how are we going to do life together? How do you do life with those that are different you? Where do you feel a rub with those who are Christians that feel differently than you?

Key 1 : Essential Beliefs- If the inquisition imprisoned you, the bishop burned your bibles, closed your church buildings and prevented you from having baptisms, Holy Communion – could you still be unified with Christ and preach the gospel? That is a question for us/ you today? What does your heart say about that?

Count Nikolaus changed things –so that the church could exist anywhere.

Key 2: Ministerials – How the gathering who called themselves the church functioned. However, it could never trump the essentials. Have you seen this in the context of the church today and what does that look like?

Key 3: Incidentals – what does that look like in the church today? Do you believe that we take our freedoms casually in the Christian world? Where have you seen incidentals take over the church?

Lastly; what we hold in common (essentials) are where we get access to the power to live with those we disagree within the community to bring the gospel in to the world? What do you think of that statement?
