Connect:Where is your holy place where you experience God? Where do you struggle with God and ? ( do you have something) Is in the same place as God?
Engage: Read through Exodus 2:24-3:15. What strikes you in this passage? Where are you like Moses?
Who is God to you? How do you see God? Do you believe that God sees, keeps His promises that He moves towards us. How would this make a difference in your life.
Have you ever had a conversation with a person who has a different view of God and how have you engaged in conversation with them.
1st truth claim God is Elohim—Creator God – Where do you see God most clearly as a Creator.
2nd truth claim – LORD – YHWH – Yahweh 6,800 times. I am the source – I am not a slot machine. So precious they would not use that name in conversation on the day of atonement,
3rd truth claim – Lord – Adonai – 400 x in the bible – means Ruler, Master With all these names – which one strikes you the most deeply and why?
Deut. 6:4 Shema. Read that, what does that say to you? 1 Cor 8:5-6, 1 Cor. 10:14-16, 21-22. How does Paul unpack that in the New Testament?
Apply: Where is your heart’s allegiance? Where do you get your hope? Where is your invitation this week from this sermon?
